Working Safely and Legally, with PSS Update

Every veterinary manager needs to understand the basic legal requirements for Health and Safety. On day one, Sean will cover the H&S essentials and practice advice as to how to manage H&S within practice with lots of opportunities to share experience with other delegates. The course will include defining and identifying hazard and risk, writing risk assessments, improving safety performance and protecting the environment.
On day two, Pam Mosedale, RCVS Lead Assessor, will give an update on PSS, together with a session on working safely & legally with Medicines and an insight into the medicines module Awards criteria. There will also be training in the use of fire extinguishers, with a certificate plus a session from Carolyne Crowe on creating a Stress Management policy, which is now a H&S legal requirement.
Who will benefit: Anyone who needs to understand H&S requirements within practice and how this relates to good management and the Practice Standards Scheme.
The days will start at 10:00am and finish at 4:30pm. Workbooks, CPD certificates, lunch and refreshments are included.
