Lecture Overview
Leadership is about getting people to understand and believe in your vision and to work with you to achieve your goals while managing is more about administering and making sure the day-to-day things are happening as they should. The best managers are likely to also have leadership qualities such as the ability to think outside the box, great communication skills and a clear idea of the business goals. Great leaders on the other hand are sometimes not the best at detailed management. In this session, Andy McCreadie looks at the differences between leadership and management and the natural overlap between the two and asks which leadership qualities good managers should try to develop.
